Jackfruit curry is very famous in sri lanka .Also this Sri Lankan Jackfruit Curry is made with fresh coconut milk.
It's a nutritious and Delicious meal. Now let's see "How to make Jackfruit Curry"
Ingredient list
- Jackfruit - It's called also "Polos" ( Cut in to medium size pieces )
- Onion - (Thinly sliced )
- One cup of coconut milk
- 3 cloves of garlic (Chopped)
- 2 Green chili - Thinly sliced
- Cinnamon stick
- 3-4 pods of cardamom
- 3-4 Cloves
- 2 table spoons of tamarind paste
- 1 table spoons of mustard seeds
- 1 table spoons of turmeric powder
- 2 table spoons of chili powder
- 2 table spoons of roasted curry powder
- Rampe and curry leaves
- Salt
- Water

How to Preparation
✪ Add oil to pot and heat it , Also add mustard seeds and cover with a lid

✪ After the mustard seeds pop , remove the lid and add Garlic , onions , Rampe , Curry leaves , Green chili next Saute till fragrant

✪ Now add chili powder, Turmeric , and roasted curry powder

✪ Next add jackfruit (polos) and Saute for a 2 or 3 minutes

✪ Now time to add salt and tamarind
✪ Add 2 - 3 Cup of water to it and mix
✪ Now close the pot with lid , let it to boil and simmer

✪ Make sure Jackfruit (Polos) pieces are cooked till soft check periodically
✪ Next step add coconut milk and stir well

✪ If you want add more chili powder and roasted curry powder
✪ Close the pot with lid and continue the cook till gravy thickness
